It's highly possible there are imperfect conditions hidden in your duct system that a heating and air conditioning contractor must test for and fix if you want the best value for your money, with year-around comfort and without high energy costs. They are….

1.   Static Pressure.  High static pressure is the single biggest reason why a furnace and air conditioner will not deliver its Efficiency rating.  Static Pressure is the amount of resistance of air flow through your ducting system.

2.   Air Leakage.  Gray duct tape is commonly used in the HVAC industry to seal the ducts joints, but the warm temperature within the duct system dries the tape’s sticky glue causing the duct tape to loosen, fall off and create air leaks. A study by a Department of Energy lab discovered the biggest key reason for air leakage that causes higher then normal energy costs is the use of gray duct tape for sealing ducts!

3.   Loss of the heated and cooled air within the duct system.  Ductwork that passes through attics and crawlspaces often isn’t insulated or isn’t insulated enough to protect the air inside the duct system from the outside air. In winter, your heated warm air cools down before it gets into your home, and in summer the cold air warms up as it passes through these spaces.

The Department Of Energy states: “Duct repairs could be the most important energy improvement measure you can do in a home.”

At Nevada Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing we’ve invested in the most advanced computerized equipment on the market for testing, and in hundreds of hours of training for properly repairing duct systems.
